An event dedicated to people who do good, every day<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On March 18th, 2025, at the Romanian Athenaeum, the 11th edition of the National Gala of Excellence in Social Work took place, organized by the National College of Social Workers of Romania. Held in celebration of World Social Work Day, the event was dedicated to recognizing and appreciating those who, through their work, change lives and bring hope to vulnerable individuals. <\/p>\n

Adina Stiftelsen Romania was named a finalist in the \u201cInstitution of the Year 2024\u201d category, alongside the Arad Social Assistance Directorate and NoRo Center \u2013 Prader Willi Association of Romania (S\u0103laj). Even though we did not win the award, reaching the finals is an honor and a reward for the work of our team of social work specialists. It also strengthens our motivation to continue what we have been doing for over 20 years: supporting children and young people in difficulty. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A moment of recognition for continuous work and dedication<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Being nominated and reaching the finals of this gala reflects not only the results achieved in 2024 but also the teamwork, dedication of social work professionals, and the valuable partnerships we have built over time. These efforts have actively contributed to improving the quality of life for vulnerable individuals, developing social services in Dolj County, and providing practical training for students at the Faculty of Social Work in Craiova.<\/p>\n

The grand prize of the Gala was presented by the Minister of Labor, Family, Youth, and Social Solidarity, Mrs. Simona Bucura Oprescu<\/a> who stated:<\/p>\n

\u201dSuffering is often invisible, but you choose to see it, to understand it, and, above all, to take action to bring relief. Thanks to you, every vulnerable person in Romania truly has a chance at a better life. I hope that, through your work, besides bringing comfort to those in need, you also inspire more young people to choose the field of social work. We are supporting this effort through a project designed to strengthen the administrative capacity of social work in #Romania. We are developing integrated social assistance services in 2,000 rural communities, and this project\u2014worth over 816 million euros\u2014will support social workers and contribute to improving the quality of services offered to vulnerable individuals. Thanks to this project, we will have more professionals in social work, including funding higher education for new specialists.<\/a>\u201c <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
