Program info

The practical implementation of the concept involves collaboration with a large number of volunteers who will provide occupational training in approximately 80 workshops: cooking, hairdressing, tailoring, IT&C skills development, employability, entrepreneurship, media literacy, basic photography course, but also the creation of a space where women could socialize, build self-confidence/skills, discuss issues related to them as individuals or their role as family caregivers, where they can learn and learn about how to advocate for their rights.

The skills transfer activity is provided by the Norwegian partner Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon Bergen, and the actual implementation started in July 2021.

The Empo program is dedicated to women and represents the second program adopted by the Adina Stiftelsen Foundation within the project “From pupil to employee: advocacy and training services for young people and women at risk in Dolj county”.

The project was carried out by the Adina Stiftelsen Foundation in partnership with Adina Stiftelsen Bergen and Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon Bergen and benefited from funding in the amount of 224,516.80 euros through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021.

Annual Report 2023

Adina Empo

After the completion of the project “From student to employee: advocacy and training services for young people and women at risk from Dolj county”, the women continued to regularly participate in the workshops organized on Thursdays.

Together with the team and volunteers from Cummins Generator Technologies Romania, they helped take care of the green spaces, the lavender culture at Adina Home and sewed bags.

During the meetings with the students from the Faculty of Social Work at the “Family Violence in Romania” symposium and with the social workers from DGASPC Dolj, methods of prevention and intervention by which risk situations can be managed were discussed.
4 women completed a qualification course and 2 of them found a stable job.
